Here's a close-up of the anthers inside the Heliamphora flower. According to the ICPS website, the anthers form a tube around the cells that make pollen, protecting them from rain. When bees buzz nearby, pores at the end of the anthers release pollen. Pretty neat! I am going to try to pollinate these. One friend of mine suggested using an electric toothbrush, which is ingenious! I have used a tuning fork in the past but will try both methods this time.
